Someone asked in the discussion area how I go about painting human eyes, I just happened to be painting a miniatures face when I read it, so I took some photos as I painted the eyes and put up a (really) short tutorial here
Take a look, hopefully it will be useful.

Hey everyone,
Sorry for the lack of updates recently, I’m really busy with work at the moment, but it should all sort itself out soon.
As someone pointed out (thanks again Andrew), there isn’t a dedicated area for people to discuss things, post pictures of their work etc. The comments sections is useful but very basic, you can’t organise it and at some point it’s going to get lost as the blog grows.
So I have installed a thread plugin for the blog, now there is an area where we can share links, for example: your Imperial Fist photos. You have to register to use it, but it should keep things more organised.
It’s not intended to be a full on forum, just a place to share ideas and where we can chat more easily.
Cheers
W.
P.S. One thing I ask is that if you post photos, can you host them on a site like http://www.photobucket.com and use the [img] links code to show photos. Just to save on my bandwidth.
Well a knock at the door this morning made me very happy, my order of ‘Ikit Claw’ and the Skaven magic cards turned up early, so today seemed a good time to start my Skaven army log.

I haven’t decided on a name or colour scheme for the army yet, but here is what I’ve got so far:
Heroes:
- Ikit Claw
- Skaven Chieftain (I’m planning to use the one from the IoB boxset for the time being, until the GD’11 miniature comes out and then I will swap him for that).
- Warlock Engineer
Core:
- 20 Clan Rats – with Clawleader, Musician, Standard Bearer and Poisoned Wind Mortar
- 20 Clan Rats – with Clawleader, Musician, Standard Bearer and Warpfire Thrower
Special:
- 2 Rat Ogres and Master Moulder
I’ll be updating this as I go, I just wanted to put down roughly what I have to get started. As I mentioned in my last post, one of my New Years Resolutions is to collect a battalion size force by the end of the year.
Next step: Start cleaning up some of these miniatures
